ஆங்கில மீடியமாக மாற்றிட முடிவுசெய்திருக்கிறது. இதற்கு, ஆந்திர அமைச்சரவை
ஒப்புதல் வழங்கியிருக்கிறது. இந்த ஒப்புதல்மூலம் 39,000 தெலுங்கு மீடியப்
பள்ளிகள் ஆங்கில மீடியத்துக்கு மாறவிருக்கின்றன.

ஆந்திர அரசு, ஏற்கெனவே மாநகராட்சிப் பள்ளிகளை ஆங்கில
மீடியத்துக்கு மாற்றியமைத்திருக்கிறது. ஆரம்ப வகுப்புப் பள்ளிகளையும்
ஆங்கில மீடியத்துக்கு மாற்றுவதன்மூலம், பிள்ளைகளின் எதிர்காலம் சிறப்பாக
இருக்கும் என்ற அடிப்படையில் இந்த மாற்றத்தைக் கொண்டு வரவிருக்கிறது ஆந்திர
அரசு.
'இந்த மாற்றத்தைக் கொண்டுவர கடந்த ஓராண்டாகத் திட்டமிட்டோம்.
மக்கள் எதிர்ப்புத் தெரிவிப்பார்கள் என்ற பயம் இருந்தது. ஆனால்,
மாநகராட்சிப் பள்ளிகளை மாற்றியபோது எந்தவிதமான எதிர்ப்பும் இல்லை என்பதால்,
தற்போது ஆரம்பப் பள்ளிகளையும் ஆங்கில மீடியமாக மாற்றியமைக்க
முடிவுசெய்திருக்கிறோம். பெரும்பாலான பெற்றோர்கள், தனியார் ஆங்கிலப்
பள்ளியை நாடிச் செல்கிறார்கள். இனி, அரசுப் பள்ளிகளையும் ஆங்கிலப்
பள்ளிகளாக மாற்றுவதன்மூலம், அரசுப் பள்ளியை நாடி வருவார்கள். தற்போது,
தனியார் பள்ளிகளுக்கு இணையான கட்டமைப்பு வசதியையும் வழங்க ஏற்பாடு
செய்துவருகிறோம்.
முதல்கட்டமாக, மாவட்டத் தலைநகரிலும் நகராட்சிகளிலும் உள்ள
பள்ளிகளை மாற்றியமைக்க இருக்கிறோம். ஏற்கெனவே, தெலுங்கு மொழியில் பாடம்
நடத்திவரும் ஆசிரியர்களுக்குப் பயிற்சி வழங்கவும் ஏற்பாடு செய்துவருகிறோம்'

ReplyDeleteEducationists across the world have had asserted that primary education, at least, to be provided in mother tongue. This is indeed a prerequisite for cognitive development and learning mother tongue effectively. Even today, countries like Japan, China and US have been following this. It may be mentioned that Japan is providing even higher education in their mother tongue. Their system helps develop cognitively better. Just because private schools are offering English medium and that the same has been received well at corporation schools though, it may not be correct to conclude that people prefer only English medium at primary levels. In fact, the govt should take action to curtail teaching through English medium by private schools. Alas! the govt has decided to the contrary!!!!
