பள்ளிக்கல்வித்துறை சார்பில், அரசு பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கு ஆங்கில உச்சரிப்பை
மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் வினியோகிக்கப்பட்ட பிரத்யேக 'சிடி' கற்பித்தலில்
பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறதா என்பதை ஆய்வு செய்து அறிக்கை தாக்கல் செய்ய
உத்தரவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
அரசு பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்களை கொண்டு ஆங்கில உச்சரிப்பை மேம்படுத்த பிரத்யேக 'சிடி'க்கள் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டன. மொத்தம், 43 வகையா
ன 'சிடி'க்கள் தயாரித்து, தமிழகத்தில் உள்ள அனைத்து
தொடக்கப் பள்ளிகளுக்கும் கடந்த பிப்ரவரி மாதம் அனுப்பப்பட்டது. இந்த,
'சிடி'க்களை எல்.சி.டி., புரஜக்டர் மற்றும் லேப்டாப், கம்ப்யூட்டர்
பயன்படுத்தி ஆங்கில ஆசிரியர்கள் கற்பிக்க அறிவுறுத்தப்பட்டது. இதற்கான,
கையேடுகள் ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.
இந்நிலையில், பள்ளிகள் திறந்து ஒரு மாத காலம் முடிவடைந்துள்ள நிலையில்,
மாணவர்களின் உச்சரிப்பில் உள்ள மாற்றம், 'சிடி' முறையாக ஆசிரியர்களால்
பயன்படுத்தபடுகிறதா என்பதை ஆய்வு செய்யவும். அதற்கான, பதிவுகளை
அனுப்பிவைக்கவும் மாவட்ட தொடக்க கல்வி அலுவலர்களுக்கு சுற்றறிக்கை வாயிலாக
தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது. கோவை மாவட்டத்தில், உதவி தொடக்க கல்வி அலுவலர்கள்,
கூடுதல் உதவி தொடக்க கல்வி அலுவலர்களால் ஆய்வுப் பணிகள் நடந்து வருகின்றன.
இம்முறையை செயல்படுத்தாத பள்ளிகள், ஆசிரியர்கள் மீது துறை ரீதியான
நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும் என, அதிகாரிகள் தரப்பபில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
The actual pronunciation and accent in English Language are the primary phenomenon for teaching English Language, and other subjects thro' English Medium. The root-cause of this ill-devised system starts from recruitment level.
ReplyDelete1) The Educational Qualification for recruiting English Language Teachers should be determined as "Under Graduate Degree and Post Graduate Degree should be English Literature, and through English Medium of Regular Stream, not by DDE or Correspondence Courses"
2) The Interview process should comprise by checking ... "Teacher's ability in Spoken Language in English, Grammatical application and simplicity in vernacular style, and Written capability by reasoning & mental power
3) The subject Teachers for taking English Medium Classes, should have qualified through English Medium in both UG and PG level, under Regular Stream not thro' DDE or Correspondence Course. Besides, it is well and good that such English Medium Teachers should have undergone their studies in School Level thro' English Medium sections.
4) For Teacher's Selection in Govt. Schools, the Govt. should stop selecting the teachers .,. who had undergone their studies through DDE or Correspondence Stream, or through Tamil Medium in UG and PG Level too. Because, this type of Tamil Medium qualified teachers are not capable of teaching in English Language or subjects in English, and they are producing SECOND rate of children only.
In order to review the recruitment process for teachers, the State Govt. should immediately stop this ill-devised system of recruiting teachers and dispense with the pathetic condition of learning English Language by unprudential and unqualified English Teachers., .
