பள்ளிகளின் கூட்டமைப்புக் கூட்டத்தில் இவ்வாறு முடிவெடுக்கப்பட்டது. கடந்த
2 ஆண்டுகளிலும் ஏழை மாணவர்களுக்கு 25% இடஒதுக்கீடு வழங்கப்பட்டது. ஆனால்
பள்ளியில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்ட ஏழை மாணவர்களின் கல்வி கட்டணத்தை தமிழக அரசு
தரவில்லை, கல்வி கட்டணத்தை தராததால் இந்த ஆண்டு ஏழை மாணவர்களுக்கு இடமில்லை
என தனியார் பள்ளிகளின் கூட்டமைப்பு கைவிரித்து விட்டது
Before reimbursing the education fee for 25% poor class students said to have been enrolled in the last two years in private schools, it should be ensured whether the list of such enrolled students is true, whether those deserving students still continue in the school or the list is fabricated to satisfy the statutory obligation from among the total students. The list should be maintained at CEO offices to monitor continuity year after year. Though the delay in payment is not fair whatever may be reasons may be due to non funding by central govt etc.. it is totally not correct and fair on the part of private schools to decide not to enrol 25% such students this year. This is against the RTE Act and attracts legal action on schools. Both TN Govt and Central Ministry and the Hon. High Court should look into this to ensure implementation of law. The govt should insist enrolling this year before July 2014 before effecting payment. It would be welcome and just on the part of schools if they had complied with the provisions of law and approached Court or Higher Authority for timely reimbursement of fees for 25%. The Honurable High Court and Social Activists may take suo moto legal action this year to ensure RTE compliance. The private dictates terms to Government is wonderful which shows the weakness of the Govt machinery and Judiciary as well.
